October 28, 2018

Cpl. Barney and Eastern Panhandle Special Response Team were deployed in Jefferson County for a high profile felony arrest warrant execution. Two subjects arrested without injury or incident.

Sgt. Shambaugh responded to a welfare check on Shanghai Road.

Chief Walter assisted state police with suspicious vehicle on Green Gate Road.

Chief Walter responded to domestic to assist state police on Chestnut Oak Lane. Verbal only.

Deputy Jenkins responded to a shoplifting at Thrift Store on Union Street to assist state police.

Deputy Jenkins responded to a suspicious vehicle at 7-11. Unfounded.

Deputy Jenkins responded to a welfare check on Shanghai Road. Accidental.

Deputy Jenkins investigated a crash on Cacapon Road.

Deputy Jenkins responded to shots heard on Miller Lane with Natural Resources Police.

Deputy Jenkins responded to Turtle Lane for suspicious vehicle. GOA.

 

October 29, 2018

Deputy Jenkins investigated a single car crash on Cacapon Road.

Deputy Roper and Chief Walter investigated a single car crash on Highland Ridge Road.

Deputy Jenkins and Sgt. Shambaugh arrested James D. Harman, Jr, 29, for felony possession with intent to deliver suspected methamphetamine and Jonathan R. Seager, 28, for possession of marijuana.

Captain Stapleton arrested Chelsie N. Norris, 25, for felony financial exploitation.

Deputy Roper arrested Mark A. Beddow, 35, for revocation of probation.

Sgt. Shambaugh assisted state police with emergency protection order service and removal on subject from residence on Oak Lane.

Captain Stapleton received an internet fraud on Craigslist complaint. Advised victim of options.

Captain Stapleton received a harassment complaint. Advised of options.

Chief Walter and Deputy Roper responded to a dispute call on Cacapon Road.

Deputy Roper responded to station to handle a property dispute complaint. Advised of options.

Deputy Roper and Chief Walter responded to Stone Drift Lane for an assault call.

Cpl. Barney responded to a cell phone complaint at Berkeley Springs High School.

October 31, 2018

Members of sheriff’s department and court security staff received four hours of decision shooting training on a simulator at Veteran’s Affairs Center in Martinsburg.

Deputy Link and K9 Ronan received eight hours of K9 training with Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputy Roper investigated a battery in Great Cacapon. He arrested Logan L. Fisher, 25, for the crime of battery.

Cpl. Barney and Sheriff Bohrer arrested Chad Gauman, 35, for obstructing an officer.

Sgt. Shambaugh responded to a welfare check on Bowers lane. Canceled enroute.

Sheriff Bohrer and Deputy Reserves provided extra patrols for Halloween.

Sheriff Bohrer responded to a reckless driver complaint on Laurel Avenue. Subject located and
cautioned.

Chief Walter responded to a hold up alarm on Camp Hill Road. False alarm.

Chief Walter responded to an injured deer call on Valley Road. DOA.

Lt. Place responded to an alarm on Patrick Place. Secure.

Lt. Place responded to a drunk subject call on Johnson Mill Road at US 522. Unfounded.

Lt. Place responded to a road rage call on US 522 at Widmeyer Elementary. Both drivers located and given citations.

Cpl. Barney responded to Warm Springs Middle School for vapes report x 2.

Deputy Link attended K9 training in Jefferson County.

 

November 1, 2018

Cpl. Barney investigated a battery on Harrison Avenue.

Cpl. Lemon investigated a leaving the scene of a property damage crash on Clone Run Road.

Captain Stapleton received a complaint of bus drivers complaining of drivers failing to obey bus lights. Directed patrols assigned.

Cpl. Lemon responded to an illegal drug complaint on Paw Paw Road. Investigation pending.

Cpl. Barney responded to a welfare check on Round Hill Drive. Unfounded.

Cpl. Barney investigated a battery complaint from North Washington Street.

Cpl. Barney responded to a welfare check at Berkeley Springs High School.

Deputy L. Shambaugh responded to Fairview Drive for lost property.

Deputy Link responded to Round Hill Circle for welfare check. All secure.

Deputy Link and K9 Ronan assisted Berkeley Springs Police with vehicle search.

 

November 2, 2018

Deputy Link arrested Christopher McCauley, 23, for capias warrant.

Deputy Link arrested Danielle N. Smith, 32 for capias warrant.

Deputy L. Shambaugh investigated a single vehicle fatality crash on Winchester Grade Road.

Deputy L. Shambaugh investigated a larceny and destruction of property at Cherry Run Store.

Deputy Link investigated a fraudulent schemes on Timber Lane.

Lt. Place investigated cultivating marijuana on Bernice Drive.

Cpl. Lemon investigated a leaving the scene of property damage crash on Fairfax Street.

Sheriff Bohrer, Lt. Place, Deputy L. Shambaugh and Deputy Tony Link responded to barricaded
subject with a gun call on Bernice Drive to assist state police. Subject eventually disarmed and arrested. Investigation and arrest handled by state police.
