A 34-year-old Berkeley Springs woman has been arrested for attempting to conceal a deceased human body.
Sergeant Wade Shamabugh was alerted to the incident by Special Deputy Tony Link.
A deceased body was in the apartment of Crystal Charmagen Crawford Greene, 30 Westridge Drive.
Located in the home was Joshua Edward Mitchell, 33, who had apparently been deceased for several hours after a suspected overdose.
Officials said that after Greene had found Mitchell she attempted to solicit several persons to assist her in disposing of the body and getting it out of her apartment.
Greene admitted to officers that Mitchell had came to her apartment early in the morning and she found him deceased at approximately 9:30 am.
She then left the apartment and returned about 1 pm.
Greene admitted she tried to get several people to help her remove the body and she at no time contacted law enforcement or emergency service personnel.
Sergeant. Shambaugh charged Greene with a felony crime and she was incarcerated in the Eastern Regional Jail.
