Berkeley Springs music and dance group TarabRaqs will be featured performers at the Eastern Panhandle Fall Festival of the West Virginia Music Teachers Association.
The event will be held on October 18 at Shepherd University.
The event will showcase student recitals and the TarabRaqs multi-media interactive performance of music, dance and culture of the Middle East.
Tarabraqs has a mission to educate through entertainment and has been recognized by the American Turkish Association and the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee.
“TarabRaqs came highly recommended, and we are very excited to open our students to music from another culture,” says Dr. Yu-Hsuan Liao, the event organizer.
The noon presentation is open to Shepherd University music faculty and students.
