Kristin Tuttle is the new principal at Berkeley Springs High School.
In a surprise move, former high school principal Lance Fox and his wife Nicole Fox — the former principal at Pleasant View Elementary School in Hedgesville — resigned their positions and have moved to northwest Pennsylvania.
Lance Fox has accepted a position as principal of Moniteau High School in West Sudbury, Pennsylvania. And Nicole Fox will be the assistant principal at the Dassa McKinney Elementary School in West Sudbury.
Tonight, the Morgan County Board of Education unanimously voted in Kristin Tuttle as the new principal at Berkeley Springs High School.
Tuttle’s previous position was director of secondary curriculum and career technical education at Morgan County Board of Education. Before that she worked at the high school as an administrator, as a business education teacher and as special education coordinator.
Kristin Tuttle is married to Joel Tuttle, director of Senior Life Services of Morgan County.
Joel Tuttle is running as a Republican against Democrat Stacy Dugan for a seat on the Morgan County Commission in the upcoming November elections.
During a heated campaign earlier this year over the school levy, Joel Tuttle came out for passage of the levy, while Dugan refused to take a public position on the matter.
The levy passed in May by a 54 percent to 46 percent margin after being defeated last year by a 56 percent to 44 percent margin.
