Howard Swint is running against Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito (R) this November.
And he wants to debate her around West Virginia’s Second Congressional District.
He’s agreed to start the debates 6 pm Monday June 11, 2012 at the Earth Dog Cafe in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.
Capito has been invited but has yet to respond.
The debate is being sponsored by Morgan County USA.
If Capito doesn’t show up, Swint will take questions from — and debate — the people who show up at the Earth Dog on June 11.
All are invited to attend.
Swint says we need to move away from our fossil fuel economy and toward a solar economy.
He has challenged Capito’s attack on the Environmental Protection Agency.
And he’s concerned about the corrupting influence of money in politics.
Swint will be on a tour of the eastern panhandle, meeting with voters and doing a number of media interviews, including:
On Sunday, June 10, Swint will be speaking at 5 pm at the Charles Town Libary.
On Monday June 11 at 9 am, he’s being interviewed on WEPM 1340 AM in Martinsburg.
On Monday June 11 between 6 pm and 8 pm at the Earth Dog Cafe in Berkeley Springs, Swint will be debating Congresswoman Capito or — if Congresswoman Capito doesn’t show up — the voters who do.
On Tuesday June 12 at 8:30 am he’s being interviewed on Talk Radio WRNR 740 AM in Martinsburg.
