Berkeley Springs High School teacher Kate Stotler says she’s going to vote early for the levy.
Early voting for the West Virginia May primary is from April 30 to May 10, Monday through Friday at the Morgan County Courthouse in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, and on Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm.
Election day is May 13.
“I’m planning to early vote on April 30 — the first day of early voting,” Stotler said. “I’ll be going down to the clerk’s office at the Morgan County Courthouse. You can early vote from April 30 to May 10, including Saturdays. That gives people lots of opportunities to vote if it is not convenient for them to vote in their precincts on election day.”
Stotler says she will vote for the levy because it’s “a win-win situation.”
“It’s great that we can have great schools by funding our schools at the 70 percent level that has been proposed by the school board this time around,” Stotler said. “And it’s lowering our taxes at the same time. It will be considerably lower than the last tax bill that people got. And I don’t know how you argue with that. To be able to have lower taxes and good schools — that’s the best of all worlds.”
