Middle Eastern Dance Show Coming to Hancock Arts Center Sunday November 10

Bellysima Bellydance and the Hancock Arts Council proudly present an enchanting Afternoon of Bellydance Middle Eastern Dance show on November 10, 2024, at 2 p.m.

The event will take place at the Hancock Performing Arts Center (126 High Street, Hancock, MD) showcasing a rich tapestry of dance styles inspired by classical Egyptian dance, Romany skirt dancing, American tribal style, Shaabi, Saidi, fan dancing, sword fusion, veil dancing and Flamenco Arabe.

The show honors the diversity and beauty of Middle Eastern dance. The show will feature a dynamic range of performers, from enthusiastic student troupes to accomplished professional dancers and teachers from the four-state region.

Each dancer will bring their own interpretation and flair to the stage, creating an unforgettable experience for all.

Audiences will be treated to the elegance of classical Egyptian movements, the lively energy of Romany skirt dancing, and the dynamic expressions of American tribal style, all set against the backdrop of a vast array of middle eastern music. Highlights will also include mesmerizing fan dancing, the striking artistry of sword fusion, the infectious stylings of Egyptian pop and the passionate rhythms of Flamenco Arabe.
