A major accident at the intersection of Fish Hatchery Road and US 522 about ten miles south of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia closed down US 522 for more than an hour this afternoon.
The crash involved a southbound black Dodge Ram pickup truck, a northbound tractor trailer and a red Chevy Impala sedan.
Morgan County Fire Department reported a motor vehicle crash with an “entrapment.”
A Medivac helicopter was seen flying overhead close to the scene of the crash.
Traffic was backed up both ways for miles. The northbound traffic was backed up well past the Virginia line.
Traffic started moving again at about 3:00 p.m.
