West Virginia House of Delegates Member Ruth Rowan (R-Hampshire County) has a challenger.
Beverly Cookman Keadle (D) has filed to run for the West Virginia House of Delegates in the 57th district, which includes parts of Hampshire and Mineral Counties.
Cookman Keadle, a native of Romney, West Virginia is a graduate of Romney High School and West Virginia University.
She currently serves as Romney’s City Recorder. She is Treasurer of Cookman Insurance Group.
She previously worked in the natural gas industry in central West Virginia.
“As West Virginians, I believe that we all want the same thing; good jobs, an excellent education for our children, and to leave West Virginia a better place for the next generation. I have decided to run for the House of Delegates because I fear that our great state is headed in the wrong direction. I will stand up for working West Virginians and their families.”
Cookman Keadle is married to Tom Keadle, a Senior Status Judge, former West Virginia State Trooper, and US Marine.
The Keadles have two children, Elizabeth Markey and Taylor Keadle, and four grandchildren.
