Carpenter-Peak and her family performance group TarabRaqs have taught, lectured, and performed in schools, libraries, colleges, government agencies, and private events.
They have been recognized for their innovation in teaching American youth about other cultures through music and dance.
Carpenter-Peak was recently invited by Davis & Elkins College to attend American Vernacular Dance Week at Augusta Heritage Festival as a Visiting Scholar.
“My classes are designed as little vacations from the regular routine. I want participants to check ‘exercise’ off their lists and have so much fun, they didn’t even realize they were working out.”
