Bathtub Hanging on Creek Road Sign in Berkeley Springs

Berkeley Springs is known for water. It is known for the healing springs after which the town is named. And it is home to the annual water tasting festival. And there is George Washington’s bathtub at the state park in Berkeley Springs.

Now there is the Creek Road bathtub seven miles south of Berkeley Springs.

Earlier this week, someone dumped a bathtub at the corner of Creek Road and Luther Michael Road. Then about a day later, someone hung the bathtub from the Creek Road road sign.

Was it some kind of tub art? Or was it just that someone didn’t want to haul the thing to the dump and pay the fee?

Interpretations varied. But as of yesterday, the tub was still hanging.
