Two Killed in Head on Collision on 522 in Berkeley Springs

Two people have died as a result of a head on collision between two pick up trucks at about 11:30 am Friday on US 522 in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia about a half a mile south of the Potomac River bridge.

Lexus C. Miller, 18 years of age from Berkeley Springs, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Miller was a passenger in the southbound truck driven by Bryce G. Waugh, 18, also of Berkeley Springs.

The driver of the northbound vehicle, Charles P. Nutwell, 47, of Williamsport, Maryland died of his injuries Saturday.

Morgan County Sheriff K.C. Bohrer said that upon arrival officers found two heavily damaged pickup trucks on the northbound berm area. One was overturned.

US 522 had to be shut down for nearly two hours.
