It’s a first — stand up comedy night at the New Earth Granary in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia — Saturday April 25 at 7 pm.
With master of ceremonies Mike Diesel — as seen on Comedy Central and HBO’s The Wire.
Featuring newbie comics — Tom Brooks, Rich Ellis, Dia Griffiths, Russell Mokhiber, Kris O’Brien, Dakota Peak, Davey Robinson and Johnny Robinson.
“We have a vision to help each person discover their true talent, and we feel that the Granary is the atmosphere where they can test their wings,” said Johnny and Kathy Robinson of the New Earth Granary. “Once they prove themselves we hope they will go on to develop more possibilities and life opportunities.”
The first time comics are all from the Berkeley Springs area. Mike Diesel is from Shepherdstown.
Mokhiber said that he had been testing out his routine on his family and friends.
“They are sick of it,” Mokhiber said. “They want to me to stop and just get it over with.”
