The annual plant fair, sponsored by the Morgan County Master Gardeners, is coming to Berkeley Springs State Park this weekend.
The theme this year will be edible flowers, said spokesperson Darlene Lindner.
Lindner said that there will be eighteen vendors this year and for the first time, Warm Springs Intermediate School will have a booth as well.
Three prizes will be awarded for the raffle, including the main prize — a utility wagon filled with “cool garden stuff.”
Lindner urged dads to bring the kids and get something to plant for mom on Mother’s Day.
There will also be a garden tour around Berkeley Springs. The tour will include the Morgan County Library garden, which is maintained by the Master Gardeners.
The flyer for the plant fair says “a plant doctor” will be “on call.”
Just in case.
WDHC 92.9 will be broadcasting live from the plant fair.
Mark your calendars — Friday May 9, 2014 from 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday May 10 from 9 am to 4 pm.
Rain or shine.
