We\u2019re talking art in the park.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/F5lEyfSDyms\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re talking Rediscover Your Hometown day.<\/p>\n<p>May 17 from 1 pm to 8 pm in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a project of the newly formed Bath Economic Development Authority.<\/p>\n<p>Oscar Robles, owner of the Mi Ranchito restaurant in Berkeley Springs, is the president of the organization.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe started this group to try to create something a little bit different,\u201d Robles said. \u201cWe\u2019re inviting every business to join us to create something a little bit more dynamic, to bring to town a little more energy, to promote local artists, to promote local business and to tell our people what we have in Berkeley Springs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Robles, a Mariachi singer, will bring his Mariachi horse show to Mercer Street on May 17. \u201cIt\u2019s like a cowboy show &#8212; we\u2019ll be playing, singing and riding horses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Robles shot down the rumor that there will be free margaritas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo free margaritas, but margarita specials that Saturday,\u201d Robles says.<\/p>\n<p>Town of Bath Mayor Susan Webster says that a lot of local people don\u2019t understand the interesting things going on in town.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want them to stop in town, to look in the shops and the restaurants, to see all of the interesting things and talented people that we do have in town,\u201d Webster said. \u201cThis isn\u2019t just a route to get from here to the Food Lion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Adam Kary, owner of the Black Cat Music Shop, said that Mercer Street will be shut down, a stage will be erected, and bands will be playing throughout the day in the street, including Electric Factory, Kate Evans, the Oscar Robles Band, Noodle, the Flashbacks and the Black Cat School of Rock.<\/p>\n<p>Amie Narvaez, the manager of the Berkeley Springs Farmers Market, says that Morgan County Association for Food and Farms is going to set up a special farmers market on the sidewalk in front of the the Berkeley Springs State Park on May 17 from 10 am to 2 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Art in the Park will be set up in Berkeley Springs State Park and the Ice House will also be open, as usual.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors will also get to meet Stacy Drake and other on air personalities 92.9 FM, which will be broadcasting live from the park.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019re talking music in the streets.
