For the past couple of weeks, the main phone number at Cacapon State Park in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia \u2013 304.258.1022 \u2013  has been ringing busy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There has been no way to call and make a reservation at the new lodge or the cabins. There has been no way to call to make a tee time at the golf course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just yesterday, the main website of the park changed<\/a> the park contact number from 304.258.1022 to 304.258.1330. That new number now works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frontier Communications has been out to check on the problem and apparently the problem is not with Frontier. The problem is apparently with the new phone system that was put in when the new lodge was built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are working diligently to correct the problem,\u201d said Andy Malinowski, a West Virginia Department of Commerce spokesman. \u201cWe are working with three different vendors to identify the problem.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to people at the park, the phone problem has adversely affected bookings at the park, including reservations at the golf course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Malinowski said that bookings at the lodge and other park facilities have not been significantly affected because most reservations are made online.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
