<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nGoodman was born in Washington, D.C. and lived in Annapolis, Maryland, in Florida, and for the past twenty years or so in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is survived by his daughter Leslie Desmond of Bluemont, Virginia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another daughter, Nicole James, died in a car accident in Florida about nine years ago, Desmond said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A celebration of Goodman\u2019s life is being planned for sometime in the spring in Berkeley Springs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Goodman dressed up as Lincoln to get into conversations with people about how to live a healthy life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe loved people and talking with people,\u201d Desmond said. \u201cAnd he knew about the healing properties of minerals in the water, about nutrition and healthy lifestyles.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere are a whole lot of sick people out there and I just have to help them,\u201d Goodman would say. \u201cLincoln helped free the slaves and I am trying to free people of their illness.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Goodman would visit the Fairfax Coffee House in Berkeley Springs almost every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAlways there was a smile on his face, always a kind word, always a hug, always asking \u2013 what can I do for you?\u201d said Trey Johanson of the Fairfax Coffee House. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
