Tom Harden will be running against Daryl Cowles<\/a> for the West Virginia House of Delegates in the 58th district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harden has worked for Caperton Furniture Works for 26 years and had worked for 15 years in the printing industry. He also  served with the 167th Airlift Wing of the West Virginia National Guard from 1985 to 1993.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is the son of former delegate Terry Harden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harden lives in Morgan County with his wife, Angel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 58th District includes parts of Hampshire and Morgan counties, including the communities of Berkeley Springs and Town of Bath, Great Cacapon, Paw Paw, Bloomery, Rio,  and Capon Bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harden said he always has had political aspirations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that he has ideas to attract business to the area and improve revenue for West Virginia, which, in turn, could improve the state’s educational system and funding for the recruitment and retention of quality educators.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur children are our future,\u201d Harden said. \u201cLet’s invest in them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI believe we have good people on both Democrat and Republican sides, working together will improve West Virginia for all,\u201d Harden said. \u201cThis will make the biggest impact for our citizens.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harden said he won’t promise anything except to do the best job he can at making changes to improve residents’ lives in the mountain state.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur state needs a change of ideas and how to improve follow through in achieving these ideas,\u201d Harden said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
