{"id":3436,"date":"2018-05-07T11:47:25","date_gmt":"2018-05-07T15:47:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/morgancountyusa.org\/?p=3436"},"modified":"2018-05-07T12:27:51","modified_gmt":"2018-05-07T16:27:51","slug":"two-fiber-cuts-knock-out-internet-service-to-30000-frontier-customers-in-berkeley-springs-and-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/morgancountyusa.org\/?p=3436","title":{"rendered":"Two Fiber Cuts Knock Out Internet Service to 30,000 Frontier Communications Customers in Berkeley Springs and Region"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two simultaneous fiber cuts \u2013 one near Washington, D.C. and one near Clarksburg, West Virginia \u2013 have knocked out internet service to 30,000 Frontier Communications customers in Berkeley Springs and surrounding areas in northeast West Virginia.<\/p>\n<p>The cut near Clarksburg was due to an automobile accident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have experienced two simultaneous fiber cuts affecting approximately 30,000 customers in northeastern West Virginia,\u201d said Frontier spokesperson Andy Malinoski. \u201cFrontier apologizes for any inconvenience. We expect service to be reinstated by 3 pm.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf one pathway gets cut, customers are automatically rerouted and nobody gets knocked out,\u201d Malinoski said. \u201cUnfortunately, these two cuts happened at about the same time and the backup was knocked out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Malinoski said it will not be a rolling restoral.
