{"id":3155,"date":"2018-01-17T13:42:33","date_gmt":"2018-01-17T18:42:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/morgancountyusa.org\/?p=3155"},"modified":"2018-01-17T13:47:34","modified_gmt":"2018-01-17T18:47:34","slug":"drug-bust-at-snyders-bible-chapel-in-berkeley-springs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/morgancountyusa.org\/?p=3155","title":{"rendered":"Drug Bust at Snyder\u2019s Bible Chapel in Berkeley Springs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Morgan County man was arrested for possession of approximately twelve grams of suspected heroin on the property of a church on Route 9 in Berkeley Springs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jonathan A. Zimmerman, 28, of 11111 Martinsburg Road was arrested on the property of Snyder\u2019s Bible Chapel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Officers were called to the Martinsburg Road address yesterday for a disturbance that resulted in Captain Tim Stapleton arresting Zimmerman\u2019s wife, Audrey, for obstructing an officer. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No illegal drugs were found at the time of her arrest but drug paraphernalia was located.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jonathan Zimmerman had fled prior to deputies arriving.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Officers were called back to the home early this morning for another reported disturbance and once again Jonathan Zimmerman fled.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Later a caller notified the sheriff\u2019s department that they had seen a man matching Zimmerman\u2019s description getting into a church van at Snyder\u2019s Bible Chapel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chief Deputy John Walter and Sheriff K.C. Bohrer responded.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zimmerman was found in the back of the church van injecting a syringe into his arm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zimmerman was arrested.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An investigation revealed Zimmerman to have drug paraphernalia, individually wrapped containers of a brown chunky substance \u2013 which later field tested positive for heroin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chief Walter charged Zimmerman with one count of possession with intent to deliver heroin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Subsequent checking revealed Zimmerman to be out on bond from Jefferson County on felony charges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sheriff KC Bohrer spoke with the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney\u2019s Office who advised they would be revoking Zimmerman\u2019s prior bond.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zimmerman was also served with a family protection order while in custody.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zimmerman was arraigned before Magistrate Debra Ditto and held in lieu of a $15,000 bond.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Morgan County man was arrested for possession of approximately twelve grams of suspected heroin on the property of a church on Route 9 in Berkeley Springs.
