We love good food.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The food side turned out to be the now popular Buddy Lou\u2019s Restaurant in Hancock, Maryland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Did he ever guess in coming out this way from the Washington\/Baltimore area that he would open a restaurant?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cNo, no, no,\u201d Smith says. \u201cA friend of mine had run a chain of ten restaurants in the DC Baltimore area called Austin Grills. I knew that you had to be nuts to want to go into the restaurant business. And it\u2019s hard to do a restaurant in a small market.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What percentage of Buddy Lou\u2019s business is coming off the main highways &#8212; US 68 and 70?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt\u2019s hard to say,\u201d Smith says. \u201cIt\u2019s going to be more the weekend travellers &#8212; maybe 20 percent or 25 percent.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Buddy Lou\u2019s sits right on the C&amp;O Canal.
