But the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.berkeleyspringsfarmersmarket.org\/\">Berkeley Springs Farmers Market<\/a> is still open.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/morgancountyusa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/bsfm.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2031\" src=\"https:\/\/morgancountyusa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/bsfm.jpg\" alt=\"bsfm\" width=\"180\" height=\"105\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The market is open from April through mid-December on Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The market is in downtown Berkeley Springs on Fairfax Street and US 522.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are fifteen vendors at the market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThey are local farmers,\u201d said market manager Amie Middlekauff. \u00a0\u201cOur largest producers include <a href=\"http:\/\/glascocksproduce.com\/\">Glascock Produce<\/a>. They have apples year around. They also have canned goods &#8212; like apple butter. There is Dave Elliott of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.berkeleyspringsfarmersmarket.org\/bluemount.html\">Blue Mountain Farm.<\/a> He is a distributor for <a href=\"http:\/\/tricklingspringscreamery.com\/\">Trickling Springs Creamery<\/a>. He also is an egg producer and does speciality crops. He\u2019s known for his chocolate milk.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MaltKCiJUyc\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Does anybody sell meat products?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe have a farm that joined us this year &#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.savageriverfarm.com\/\">Savage River Farm<\/a> out of Garrett County, Maryland,\u201d Middlekauff said. \u201cThey raise grass fed beef. They also have rabbits and pork.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other vendors include &#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/farmofpeace.com\/\">Farm of Peace<\/a>, Gleason Orchard, <a href=\"http:\/\/lot12.com\/\">Lot 12<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/mocksgreenhouseandfarm.com\/\">Mock\u2019s Greenhouse &#038;amp, Payne\u2019s Berries, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.plumrunfarm.com\/\">Plum Run Farm<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.saratogarun.com\/\">Saratoga Run Farm<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/366676106855018\/photos\/a.386045601584735.1073741825.366676106855018\/386045608251401\/\">Thistle Glen Garden,<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.qhfherbs.com\/\">Quail Hollow Farm.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The farmers market <a href=\"http:\/\/www.berkeleyspringsfarmersmarket.org\/about-the-market\/nutrition-assistance-programs\/\">accepts food stamps.<\/a> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIf you spend $25 worth of foods stamps, we will double it,\u201d Middlekauff said. \u201cLast year we matched $2500.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Middlekauff said that on average about 700 to 800 people walk through the farmers market every week and about 45 percent to 60 percent end up shopping at the market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There were 27,000 visitors last year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s cold outside.
