<\/a><\/p>\nThe show, called \u201cIn a Coffee House Mood,\u201d will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday,\u00a0September 25 in the Hancock Performing Arts Center at Hancock Town Hall.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople talked about last year\u2019s Music from the Coffee House program for weeks\u00a0afterwards,” said\u00a0John Douglas, who is collaborating with Mike Kligerman to put\u00a0together the evening. “We felt we only scratched the surface of the folk music scene of 50 years ago\u00a0with that one.”<\/p>\n
Featured will be tunes from the songbooks of Bob Dylan, Ian & Sylvia, Leonard\u00a0Cohen, Mississippi John Hurt, Dave Van Ronk, Maria Muldaur, John Denver and others\u00a0who performed in the folk clubs of the time.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery number will be different from last year, and we\u2019ve enlisted some new singers,\u00a0too,\u201d said Kligerman.<\/p>\n
Performers include Mary Hott, the Shifters, Pete Gordon, Angela Petry, Bethany\u00a0Bowman, Sinclair Hamilton, Bob Wurster, Jeannie Ward, Vince Romano, Jim Nichols\u00a0and Philip Clifford.<\/p>\n
The show will also mark the debut of the High Water Jug Band.<\/p>\n
