Fairfax Coffee House Back in Berkeley Springs

The Fairfax Coffee House is back in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.

Trey Johanson has purchased the building that housed the Fairfax Street institution from Magic Miller.

And she’s hoping to reopen the coffee house by the July 4th weekend.

The coffee house will be serving breakfast sandwiches all day. The menu will also include vegetarian chili, macaroni and cheese, and luncheon sandwiches.

There will be an ice cream bar — serving ice cream, yogurt and fruit bars.

The coffee at the coffee house will be provided by Black Dog Coffee.

The coffee house will be open Friday from 7 am to 8 pm, Saturday from 8 am to 8 pm, Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm and Monday from 8 am to 3 pm.

“We’ll start there and hopefully grow to open seven days a week,” Johanson said.

Johanson says she’ll look at the possibility of bringing back live music on weekends.

Johanson is looking for community feedback — including the things people enjoyed about the old Fairfax Coffee House and “what you are dying to have back.”
