In the market of public opinion, Dollar General stands for another.

D is for the dollar that drives your crazed ambition.

O is for the offense of planning one of your yellow screams in the middle of a green rural residential neighborhood here in Morgan County, West Virginia. (Ten miles south of Berkeley Springs — you already have two yellow screams in Morgan County — one in Berkeley Springs and one in Paw Paw.)

L is for the lame excuse you give — that we need a Dollar General store every ten miles across our great country (You already have 11,500 stores — enough already.)

L is the length you will go to disrupt our neighborhood.

A is for arrogance — Dollar General doesn’t care what more than 400 local residents think — they who signed a petition in opposition to your proposed monstrosity.

R is for resistance by communities nationwide offended by your disruptive operations.

G is for the greed with which you run your operation.

E is the excess of junk in your stores made primarily in China.

N is for the negligence with which you operate, including exposing workers nationwide to workplace hazards.

E is for the expense you will incur to defeat communities trying to defend themselves.

R is for the race to the bottom that you embody.

A is for the mounting anger building in our community to your looming disaster in our midst.

L is for the lasting blight and ugly lighting from your proposed store that will destroy our night sky.
