Critton Hollow String Band Celebrates 40 Years in Berkeley Springs Saturday

The Critton Hollow String Band celebrates 40 years of performing with fiddle tunes, harmonized ballads and traditional and contemporary folk songs this weekend in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.

The band will be performing on Saturday July 25 at 5:30 pm at the Berkeley Springs State Park.

Founders Joe Hermann and Sam Hermann, along with Joe Fallon are known for their driving old-time songs and have taken their traditional instrumentation and harmonies to audiences around the nation and the world.

Special guests include Pete Gordon, Chris Sprankle, Michael Kline and Rock Candy Cloggers.

This concert is part of the Morgan Arts Council’s Concerts in the Park series and is being sponsored by Washington Homeopathic Products.

The Ice House, corner of Independence and Mercer, two blocks north of the park, will serve as the rain location.

After the concert, Sam and Joe will head over to the Granary (143 North Mercer Street) for a jam session. Bring your instrument.
